EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that taps into an individual's inherent ability to heal. As our bodies can heal from wounds, our minds also have the ability to adapt and heal. For both, in order to heal, blocks (whether they be physical or mental) must be cleared to facilitate true healing. EMDR allows individuals to clear such blocks in their cognitive processing and develop new insights and understandings. It's a modality integrating past, present and future experiences and can facilitate rapid healing and reprocessing. EMDR is an effective intervention working with trauma, stress/ anxiety, panic attacks, grief and phobias.
